Zero digital illiteracy, a desideratum in any company in Romania!
Even if it may sound too harsh, the concept of "digital illiteracy" is, unfortunately, a reality in many areas of our country. It refers to the inability to use technology, namely the computer, laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc., for professional purposes, to make work easier and more efficient. According to a study carried out a few years ago, Romania ranks last in the European Union in terms of digital skills, which can be explained both by the ageing population and the percentage of rural population.
Digital illiteracy is all the more serious as most Romanians know how to use a smartphone, but only for recreational purposes. Moreover, according to experts in programming and robotics, the lack of technical skills in this field will keep some children in our country "in the vicious circle of poverty" once they leave school and become adults. This is precisely why, in recent years, those responsible for education have instituted a digital skills test in the Baccalaureate exam. But this tests a minimal level of knowledge, incompatible with the know-how required in a company.
Thus, especially as the debate on artificial intelligence and the "threats" to certain job categories are on the agenda, it is imperative that all employees are up to speed on how to use technology to do their jobs faster.
Brightway®️ has created no less than 6 specialised training courses on the technical side, 5 of which are aimed at gaining in-depth knowledge of Office software, and the sixth aims to increase cyber security. Here is a brief description of each of them:
Business Microsoft Excel. This course is aimed at all employees who want to optimise their working time for producing reports and analyses in Microsoft Excel, ensuring their independence in using the application and improving their skills as they gain experience;
Business Microsoft Excel with VBA. Even advanced Excel users can learn extra things! For example, they will learn how to automate most activities and processes, develop interfaces and user interaction forms. The training is ideal for those who do most of their professional work in Excel;
Microsoft PowerPoint. Employees whose job description includes the responsibility of making presentations can benefit from this training, which will increase their efficiency and speed of work;
Microsoft Word. Although it is the most popular Office program in the world, Microsoft Word still "hides" many features that, once known, will give users a real "boost" of technical skills. During the course, participants will learn various methods of automation (generating a table of contents, inserting a header/footer, designing email campaign templates, etc.);
Microsoft Project. Project managers will learn how to allocate tasks, manage resources and produce reports with the help of the technology, which will speed up the progress of the steps and guarantee smooth deadlines;
Cyber Security Awareness. Last but not least, this course teaches employees how to recognise and avoid any type of cyber-attack, know-how that they will of course be able to use in their personal lives. In fact, malicious people take advantage of their victims precisely because of their ignorance and lack of knowledge in the field, which makes them vulnerable.

Until not long ago, selling was a very well-articulated process, in which the position of sales agent was quite controversial. But how are things today?
