Has it ever happened to you that, after reading a book by a highly praised foreign author, you were disappointed? This was most likely due to the nuances and social, cultural, etc. differences that were "lost" when the book was adapted from the native language into Romanian. A similar situation is encountered in the case of modern concepts such as growth mindset: the translation is not necessarily appropriate, as the term "growth mindset" does not fully define the English concept. Therefore, in the following, we will use the original one.
Growth mindset "translates" as continuous evolution
According to Professor Carol Dweck of Stanford University, the label "growth mindset" is applied to people who believe that their success is based on continuous effort and time spent evolving. People with such an approach believe that their skills and intelligence can be improved with dedication and perseverance. They welcome challenges, learn from criticism and draw inspiration from the success of others, working to correct their mistakes and focusing on the process rather than the outcome. At the other end of the spectrum are those with a 'fixed mindset', who focus on innate skills.
Here are some characteristics of those with a growth mindset:
- they seek to develop and evolve continuously;
- see challenges as a chance to take a step forward, both professionally and personally;
- are persistent;
- do not value things gained without effort, considering it necessary for growth;
- are receptive to feedback and learn from constructive criticism;
- are inspired by the success of those around them;
- they recognise that they don't know or can't do certain things, but emphasise the concept of "not yet".
Brightway® training helps you be better tomorrow than you are today!
Participating in our Growth Mindset training translates into developing an agile mindset, increasingly necessary in today's social and economic context, where change of all kinds is inherent, the order of the day, and should no longer be viewed with skepticism, but embraced and approached in the best possible way. Focusing on learning from mistakes, adapting and improving relationships with ourselves and with those around us (family, friends, colleagues, etc.) is essential especially in difficult times (crisis), both in personal and professional situations.
Like all other Brightway® brand training sessions, the Growth Mindset training is also aimed at achieving clear, specific objectives, whether we are talking about the participants or the organisation they belong to, as follows:
Participants - adapting to unforeseen changes, understanding the links between thoughts, emotions and behaviour, increasing motivation, managing conflict and increasing self-confidence;
Organisation - increasing levels of initiative, repositioning after failure.
In conclusion, a Growth Mindset training will not help you to become "your best self", but rather to be better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today. In a world that moves forward at the speed of change, you and the company you run or are part of need to constantly evolve, so as not to waste time and... the "train"! We are waiting for you!

Until not long ago, selling was a very well-articulated process, in which the position of sales agent was quite controversial. But how are things today?
